June 2008 Mission
The Women's Board of Northminster is collecting dental kits throughout
the month of June for Mission of Mercy. Mission of Mercy is a
nonprofit organization that provides free medical and dental services
and prescription medications to the uninsured working poor, homeless
and economically disadvantaged people of Maryland and other states
via a mobile medical clinic. Patients who visit the dental clinic
receive a free dental care kit to take home with them.
Pick up a shopping list in the church foyer. Baggies are available
for you to fill and return during the month of June to the Mission's
collection box. Requested items include toothbrushes, toothpaste,
floss and small bottles of mouthwash. Travel size toiletry items
are also welcome.

Vacation Bible
Camp (VBC) at Emory Grove
This year's camp, Growing in God's Grove, is being offered for
two weeks, July 14-18 and July 21-25, from 9 AM - noon
each day. There will also be a family campfire celebration on
both Friday evenings, the 18th and the 25th. Camp is being offered
to children ages four through those having completed 5th grade.
Children can be registered for one or two weeks by completing
a green form in the church foyer or by contacting the church office.
There is no cost, but donations are welcome.
Volunteers aged 6th grade through adult are also needed to help
with VBC for a variety of roles: parking guards, puppeteers, band
members, etc. Additionally, church-based folks can help by registering
campers, making announcements, putting up signs and donating items
such as toilet paper, paper plates, paper towels, cups and napkins.
